The cosy restaurant is set on two levels and offers lots of corners for that candle-lit dinner. With its wonky walls and wooden beams this 500-year-old pub is soaked in history which bring such charm to the restaurant. The bar and snug offer an insight in to years gone by at The Parrot with an array of black and white pictures and artwork.
The bar is stocked with a great choice of craft gins, whiskies and bourbons alongside our eclectic wine list that offers something for everybody. With Adnams just up the coast you can rest assure that your pint will be tip top. We take no shame in not providing straws and stirrers on the bar. We, along with our Sister pub, the Dolphin in Thorpeness, have pledged to reduce the amount of plastic that we use. This is just one little way that it can help.
In the kitchen we source as much as we can from local suppliers. All of our meat comes direct from Salter and King butchers in Aldeburgh whilst our greengrocer is just down the road in Ipswich. Our fish monger sources from sustainable stock in Lowestfoft. Through the warmer months we also are supplied with a plethora of produce from John Westrup in Thorpeness.
SORRY WE ARE UNABLE TO RUN A TAKEAWAY SERVICE AT THIS TIME. WE HOPE THAT IT WILL RETURN AFTER THE SUMMER.
